Naruto X Boruto - Ninja Voltage - Try out

Playing too much of Clash Royale, and want to try out some different game lately.  Last week, I have start playing this game.  Playing for a week, it seems to me it is a good time for me to write a review of this game.

First Impression

NarutoXBoruto - Ninja Voltage is a game came out for a year.   It is created by the Bandai Namco Entertainment, the children company under the Japanese Comic Bandai giant.  The game used the popular Japanese comic Naruto as the background and you are using the characters in the Naruto comic to go through the story mode in the comic, or fighting with or against the players in the game.  It is typical Japanese style drawing game, however, you are drawing the Ninja Cards instead of characters.  The game is simple and have good graphics, and sounds.   This game seems is a very good game to play with as the first impression.

  

Game Mechanics

The game is a action Role-Playing game, in which, you picked 4 characters to form a team and then go for a mission.  In the mission, you control one of the character, and then you can run around and use Jutsu to fight against the enemies.  The game is very fast-pace and there are some strategy of how can you able to avoid traps.  You can also able to form a team with other player to do some special missions.  Furthermore, you can able to do special attack on other player village to earn the fame of the game.

Character Setting

The best thing about this game is there is no leveling for the character, so you don't need to keep fighting to level up your character.  However, there are 6 star levels for character, and you would need to have the character fragment in order to awake the star level.   For the 6 star, you would need to have your town hall to be level 15 in order able to awake the ability.  Some characters fragments are more easy to get, and others very hard to get or buy.  After one week of playing, I have already have enough hero fragments to awake to the 6 star abilities, just waiting for my town hall to be level 15.

After you awake your character to next star level, then you should unlock the character abilities right away.  This is easy and very effective to improve your character without much crazy spending.  When unlocked everything and max out your character, you should have around 30000 power for your character.   This is your first focus of the game, because it is the easiest part.

Ninja Cards

Ninja spells scrolls is the key of this game.  Each character can carry 10 ninja cards, and some ninja cards have the Jutsu for certain character to use.  ninja cards also has 6 star level, but some ninja cards cannot able to reach to the level 6 at all.  There are 4 type of ninja cards, common card, rare card, very rare card and Ultimate card.  Ultimate card contain the Ultimate Jutsu for special character and they are crazy powerful.   

Ninja cards is hard to get, you would need to draw (summon) in order to get some good cards.  Ultimate Cards are rarely summon by normal summoning, and there is how you can buy gems to speed up the summoning and get the Ultimate cards.

The ultimate goal is to have your character to have all 6 stars cards and level up your Ultimate Jutsu to level 6.

Fortress

You can layout your fortress and protect your village from attack by other players.  I didn't spend a lot of time to build the fortress since I am too lower level, and nothing to protect.  So that should be your end game goal.

My 2 Cents

This game is not bad.  The action is a little complicate since so many enemies running around.  The traps are very annoying, but the gameplay is very smooth and good graphics.   I have spent a week, and I think this game is very good.  The auto is very important, can really help you to do fighting when you are doing other stuffs.  However, you may need over level if you want to use Auto, since you will have issues with the traps.

To be on the top of the game seems very difficult, since it is very hard to draw and level the 6 stars Ninja Cards.  Moreover, you need to have the right ninja cards for your character in order to get bonus and Jutsu.

The game try to put a little strategy such as layout your fortness and traps, but the level of ninja cards control everything.  No matter how you layout of fortness, you won't able to protect high level players.

Overall, this game is fun to play, very relaxing.  No strategy but trying to summon rarely ninja cards.  

It should be a game that make me play for couple of months at least.
